Mookaite
This stunning multi coloured stone is found in the Kennedy Ranges near Gascoyne Junction which is about 100 miles inland from the coastal town of Carnarvon in Western Australia.
The name "mookaite" is derived from the locality where the rock is dug, namely
Mooka Creek.
Here we have two different beautifully coloured earrings. Stones are 12mm round wiht facets.
Dark colours with clear quartz and a 4mm faceted hematite. Length, not including hooks, is approx. 21mm
Lighter colours with clear quartz and a 5mm square faceted spinel stone on top. Length, not including hooks, is approx. 23mm
